Description of the classes:

PUPPY - This is a class limited only to puppies between the age of 12 weeks to 12 months. This is to help with the puppy woes and worries of teaching the simplest steps in getting your puppy out and about. This class will teach some basic commands of sit, down, stay and come when called and also consists of socialization and working on games to teach your puppy how to learn. For the safety of your puppy, she will need to have had at least her second set of puppy vaccinations to attend.
BASIC OBEDIENCE You and your dog will learn the basics of training and games to help improve your training skills. At the end of six weeks your dog will come when called, walk on a loose leash, sit, down and stay. There will also be information regarding socialization, grooming, health and basic household manners.

COMPETITION Foundation - For this class the dog needs to know all of the individual elements of Novice Obedience in the show ring. (Sit, stay, down, heel with attention, stand, come, and finish.) Work will be done on handling your dog in and out of the ring, setting up for exercises, building enthusiasm, attire, rules and regulations, proofing and polishing the exercises.
Instructor approval is required.
Beginners Competition Distraction Training: Does your dog leave you to go “visit” other dogs and people? Will your dog stay in a sit or down or stay focused on you when another dog or person walks by? Do you want to go on and compete in Agility, Obedience and Rally but don’t know how to get started? If so, this class is for you!! The class is designed to help you work through basic foundation commands needed for all AKC competition Agility, Obedience and Rally venues. This is NOT just a basic obedience class! These foundation commands will be elevated to a much higher level to help the dog understand his job no matter what is going on around him. In this class, emphasis will be placed on handler focus, recall, stay in a sit or down, formal heeling and toy play even when elevated distractions are present. Class size will be limited to 5 beginning handlers and dogs to assure more one-on-one time with the instructor.

RALLY - AKC Rally is a successful stepping stone from the AKC Canine Good Citizen® program to the world of obedience or agility. This class will focus on preparing students for AKC Rally showing for all levels.  Prerequisite includes a Basic Obedience class.

FLATWORK Flatwork is the agility foundation, teaching you how to handle and how to make all your body language clear, consistent, coherent, and timely while teaching your dog how to take direction and stay on course!

RALLY ADVANCED & EXCELLENT - This class will focus on course work for the Advanced and Excellent levels of AKC Rally.

CLICKER - Any dog of any age interested in a beginning level of the exciting world of clicker.
